Five Day Studio is a one-person web design studio run by Umar Farooq. This page explains what personal information I collect, why, and what I do with it, in plain English.
The short version
- I only collect what you send me: your name, business, contact details and project details.
- I use it to reply to you and to build your website. Nothing else.
- I never sell your information or add you to a mailing list.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Who I am
Five Day Studio is operated by Umar Farooq, a sole trader based in Pakistan who builds websites for Australian businesses. In this policy, "I", "me" and "Five Day Studio" mean the same thing.

What I collect
When you use the contact form: your name, business name, email address, the type of help you need and your message.
When you message, email or call me: your contact details and whatever you choose to share, for example your phone number on WhatsApp.
When we work together: the content you send for your website (logo, photos, text and business details), billing details for invoices, and the login details needed to set up your domain and hosting.
Automatically: like every website, the servers that host and deliver this site keep standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To design, build, launch and look after your website.
- To send invoices and keep business and tax records.
- To keep this website secure and working properly.
I don't use your information for marketing, and I don't sell, rent or trade it to anyone.
Who I share it with
I use a small number of trusted services to run the studio. They only receive what they need to do their job:
- Formspree receives contact-form messages and forwards them to my email.
- Google Fonts supplies the typeface on this site, so your browser connects to Google when the page loads.
- My website host and email provider store this site and my emails.
- WhatsApp, if you choose to message me there.
- Payment providers (such as Payoneer or my bank) process the payments you make.
- Domain and hosting companies you or I register services with while building your site.
I may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where your information is held
I work from Pakistan, and the services above may store data in other countries, including the United States. That means your information will be handled outside Australia. I take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is held: I only use established providers, and I keep access to my accounts secured.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don't become projects are deleted within 12 months. For clients, I keep project files and invoices for as long as I need them to support your site and meet record-keeping and tax obligations, which is usually up to seven years for invoices. Website login details are deleted or handed back when our work together ends.
How I protect it
This site uses HTTPS encryption. I use strong passwords and two-step verification on my accounts, and I only share login details through secure channels. No system is perfectly secure, but I take the protection of your information seriously.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me to:
- show you the personal information I hold about you,
- correct anything that's wrong, or
- delete your information, unless I need to keep it for legal or tax reasons.

Complaints
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please email me first and I'll do my best to put it right. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle personal information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
